Platform Guidelines
These guidelines define how users and platforms operate within the Serey ecosystem.

Serey is built for people who want to own what they publish. We believe creators should not lose their work because a company changed its mind, a government applied pressure, or an algorithm decided something was inconvenient.
That belief has a limit, and the limit is not negotiable. Some content causes direct harm to real people, and no principle about free expression justifies hosting it. These guidelines describe where that line sits.
We hold this line narrowly and apply it consistently. We do not remove content because it is unpopular, because it criticises a government or a company, or because someone disagrees with it.

These apply to all users and all platforms, without exception.
Conduct and security
01. No theft
Unauthorised use or taking of accounts, funds, or content is prohibited.
02. No impersonation or misrepresentation
Users may not falsely represent themselves or others.
03. No fraud or scams
Deceptive practices, including financial scams, phishing, counterfeit goods, and impersonation intended to defraud, are not allowed.
04. No unauthorised access
Accessing accounts or systems without permission is strictly prohibited.
05. Respect platform rules and applicable laws
Users must follow both platform-specific guidelines and relevant laws.
06. No malicious software
Uploading or distributing harmful software, phishing pages, or code designed to compromise other people’s systems is not allowed.
07. Platform transparency
Platforms must clearly display their terms, policies, and community guidelines.
Content that is never allowed
The following is prohibited across all of Serey. There is no context, framing, or artistic justification that makes it acceptable.
Content involving the sexual exploitation of minors
This includes child sexual abuse material in any form, sexualised depictions of minors whether real, drawn, generated, or described, content that facilitates grooming, and any attempt to use Serey to trade, locate, or advertise such material. We report this to the relevant authorities.
Calls for or coordination of violence
Content that urges, plans, or coordinates violence against people. Writing about violence, conflict, or self-defence is permitted. Organising it is not.
Terrorist and violent extremist content
Material produced by or promoting organisations that engage in terrorism, or that recruits for them.
Non-consensual intimate imagery
Intimate images or recordings published without the consent of the person depicted, including material created or altered synthetically.
Publishing private information
Publishing someone’s home address, personal phone number, family details, or identity documents in a way that exposes them to harassment or harm. This does not restrict journalism — naming people, reporting on officials, executives, and public figures, publishing documents and records, and identifying people acting in a professional or official capacity are all permitted, including where the subject would prefer they were not. Exposing wrongdoing is the point of a platform like this.
Human trafficking and exploitation
Content that advertises, facilitates, or profits from trafficking, forced labour, or sexual exploitation.
Direct threats
Credible threats of violence against a specific person or group.
Copyright infringement
Publishing work you do not have the right to publish. Rights holders can submit a notice through our copyright reporting process.
Content that is restricted
The following is allowed under conditions.
Sexual content
Serey does not host pornography or content whose primary purpose is sexual arousal. This is a limitation of our payment infrastructure and legal obligations, not a judgement about the work. Writing about sex, sexuality, and sexual health is permitted, as is journalism about the adult industry, artistic and documentary work involving nudity, and literary fiction with sexual content.
Graphic or disturbing material
Permitted where it serves a documentary, journalistic, educational, or historical purpose, and where it is marked so readers can choose whether to view it. Not permitted where the purpose is shock or glorification.
Discussion of illegal activity
Writing about crime, drugs, weapons, or other illegal subjects is permitted. Providing operational instructions that enable serious harm is not. The difference is between explaining and enabling.
Sensitive personal claims
Serious allegations about identifiable people should be supported. We do not adjudicate truth, but content that is clearly fabricated to damage someone may be removed.
Platform-Specific Guidelines
Each platform on Serey can define its own content policies, community standards, and monetisation models. Platform operators are responsible for clearly communicating and enforcing their rules, while aligning with the Universal Guidelines above.
Platforms may define:
- Content policies and restrictions
- Community and interaction rules
- Monetisation models, such as subscriptions or advertising
- Moderation and dispute handling processes
The Universal Guidelines are the floor. A platform owner cannot permit what we prohibit, but they can prohibit what we permit.
If you publish within someone else’s platform, both sets of rules apply. If a platform owner removes your content, it remains yours and you can publish it elsewhere on Serey or take it with you.
Publishing to the blockchain
Blockchain publishing on Serey is optional. Most content published on Serey is stored normally and can be edited or deleted at any time. You only publish to the blockchain if you actively choose to.
If you do choose it, your content is recorded across many independent servers and becomes permanent. That permanence is the point. It means your authorship is timestamped and provable, and your work cannot be quietly altered or backdated by anyone, including us.
It also means the record cannot be withdrawn. We can remove content from Serey’s interfaces so it no longer appears in feeds, search, or on platform pages. We cannot remove the underlying record from the chain. Anyone running a node or using a block explorer may still be able to retrieve it.
The rules still apply. Content published to the blockchain is subject to these guidelines exactly as any other content is. We will remove prohibited material from every surface we control, act against the account, and report illegal material to the authorities.
We are actively developing this part of Serey, including how content and records are stored, so that removal requests can be honoured more fully. We will update these guidelines as that work progresses.
Privacy and personal data
If you want your personal data corrected or removed, or you have any question about how Serey handles your data, contact us at [email protected]. We respond to every request and will tell you what we have done.
Where content has been published to the blockchain, our response is limited to what is technically possible. We will remove the content from all Serey interfaces and explain clearly what remains on the chain and why.
If you publish content about other people, you are responsible for what you publish. Take particular care before putting information about identifiable people onto the blockchain, because that decision cannot be reversed and it affects someone other than you.

Anonymous publishing
Serey supports anonymous accounts, and these guidelines apply to anonymous content exactly as they apply to everything else. Anonymity protects you from exposure. It does not create an exemption from the rules.
Because anonymous accounts can be recreated, we rely on other measures: invitation-based access, rate limits on new accounts, and review of content from accounts without history. Platform owners who invite others are accountable for who they bring in.
Reporting
If you find content that breaks these guidelines, report it through the report option on the content itself, or email [email protected].
Tell us what you found and where. For urgent matters involving imminent harm or child safety, mark the message urgent and we will prioritise it.
Reports about content that merely offends you, or that you disagree with, will not result in removal. That is by design.
What we do when rules are broken
Depending on severity and history, we may:
- Remove the content from Serey’s interfaces
- Restrict the account’s ability to publish or earn
- Suspend or terminate the account
- Report to law enforcement
For child sexual abuse material, we terminate immediately and report. There is no warning and no appeal.
For everything else, we tell you what was removed and why, unless doing so would interfere with a legal investigation.
Appeals
If you believe we made a mistake, reply to the notice you received or email [email protected] within 30 days. A person will review it, not an automated system.
We publish a periodic transparency report covering removals, legal demands received, and how we responded.
Legal demands
Serey Platform LLC is registered in Wyoming, USA, and responds to valid legal process under United States law. Copyright notices are handled under the DMCA through our copyright reporting process.
We do not remove content on the basis of demands from governments that lack jurisdiction over us, and we publish such demands in our transparency report where we are permitted to.
Where content is on the blockchain, our response is limited to what is technically possible, as described above.
Changes
We may update these guidelines. Material changes will be announced before they take effect, and the revision date at the top will be updated.
